1. Three Pools
Located along the North Santiam River, less than two hours from Portland, this series of interconnected emerald-green pools is our state’s worst kept secret. Despite its popularity, it remains pristine. And the abundance of large, flat rocks make it a perfect spot for sunbathing after a swim. Remember, there’s a day-use parking fee, so bring some change!
2. Tamolitch Blue Pool
Situated on the McKenzie River Trail near Eugene, this ice-cold, ocean-blue swimming hole is simply stunning. Be warned, the hike can be challenging, but the payoff is well worth it.
